This sweet and sour chicken recipe is a straightforward and quick one to make. It combines well with rice and summer vegetables – like green beans, courgette or a big green salad. What’s not to like?
Sweet and sour chicken is a popular takeaway option. But this version is much cheaper and much healthier too! It doesn’t include deep frying and inflammatory oils. If you don’t eat meat, you can replace the chicken with chickpeas, tempeh or tofu. Here are some nice additions you can use to make it your own:
- sesame seeds
- spring onion
- 1-2 chilis for some hear
- 1-2 garlic cloves
- fresh ginger
