CCF tea for bloating, gas and indigestion

Recipes

Do you suffer from gas, bloating and stomach cramps? So many people do… These are issues that need to be addressed at the root – and that’s the work I do as a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner. In the mean time there are things you can do to ease the symptoms. Like making this tea! CCF stands for cumin, coriander and fennel and CCF tea is a great one for bloating, fullness, gas and indigestion.

Carminative herbs are wonderful for that. Carminatives help lessen and move along gas and soothe cramping. They also help when you’ve eaten a bit much and feel over-full. My husband has very sensitive digestion and uses this tea often for instant relief.

Here’s how you make it:

  • Take equal parts of fennel, coriander and cumin seed and mix them in a jar.
  • Take 1 heaped teaspoon of this mixture and crush the seeds in a mortar and pestle or a spice grinder. Put it in a pan.
  • Add water and let it simmer gently for 20 minutes with a lid on.
  • Strain and enjoy! It tastes pretty good too 🙂

Red flag…

If you have struggled with these symptoms for some time it’s good to realise that they are a sign that something isn’t right in your body. Digestive problems will affect your overall health if they are not dealt with. It is important to address them at the root(s)!
